That’s right the new ps3 slim will be available to buy on Sep 1st and has gone onto pre-order today in a number of major online retailers.
I cannot wait to get a playstation 3 slim, i’ve been putting of getting a ps3 for a few years and thought about buying one this summer because i’ve just bought a new television, the Sony KDL40Z5500 and I wanted to start a Blu Ray collection, well with the new price cut, only £249 + a bigger hard drive, 120gb for more storage this seems like a steal.
Early word is that the ps3 slim is going to fly off the shelves and stock will be very hard to find in the run up to Christmas, so if you are thinking about getting a ps3 or Blu Ray player then there has never been a better time.
So what makes the ps3 slim different from the ps3 80gb?
Well to start with the new Playstation 3 slim is much lighter, cooler and quieter than the old playstation 3 and it stores a whole lot more thanks to the massive 120gb Hard drive.
The new Playstation 3 Slim weighs in approximately two-thirds the size of the first PS3, but packs a hard drive of twice the original’s size – now a comfortably large 120GB.
And thanks to its completely revamped internal architecture (with Cell Broadband Engine™ processor) the PS3 Slim runs cooler and quieter than its PS3 predecessors.
