Transformers 3 Leader Sentinel Prime – Cheapest Prices

The new range of Transformers 3 Dark of the Moon Leader Class toys have been released with wave 1 including Leader Bumblebee and Leader Sentinal Prime!
It’s the Transformers 3 MechTech Leader Class Sentinel Prime that we will be taking a more indepth look at. The Leader class range of toys are the biggest in the Hasbro line up with the exception of the Ultimate range! You may remember the Ultimate Bumblebee that was released with the first Transformers movie, for Transformers 3 we will get to play with the Ultimate Optimus Prime figure which we are really excited about!
Anyway, back to the Leader Class Sentinel Prime figure, this is the first time that we have seen or got to collect Sentinel Prime so Transformers fans are going to go crazy for this toy.
The new leader sentinel prime figure comes equipped with the new Mechtech weapons system and Is with a range of great features such as the ability to speak, sound Fx when sentinel prime transforms, combat sound Fx and light up eyes. As we have just mentioned you also get the new Mechtech weapons system which is new for the Transformers three toys range, here even the weapons transform, sentinel primes shield converts into a bladed blaster.
So who exactly is Sentinel Prime?
Well sentinel prime has only been seen a few times in the actual Transformers comic books but plays a much larger role in the new Transformers three dark of the Moon movie.
So let’s take a look at sentinel prime in his vehicle mode, he is actually a Rosenbaur panther 6×6 fire truck and the detail on this firetruck is fantastic, painted in red and black the firetruck has two autobot logos on the rear of the truck and the writing fire rescue and 316 on both sides. The actual firetruck roles really well across the floor and is a great looking vehicle, on the roof of this fire engine you get an extendable firehose and which can also be rotated on. There is also a small grey button on the top of the fire engine cab which when pressed sounds off a fire engine siren and also the blue lights on the top flash which is a really cool additional feature.
There are a number of Mechtech weapon ports dotted around which when you fit the weapon makes the sounds change to battle Fx and then when you take the Mechtech weapon out you get the Transformers transforming sound which is really cool.
The actual transformation from the fire engine into the robot is quite straightforward, Hasbro recommends this toy for children of ages five and above. The look of Sentinel Prime is very detailed and looks really good, the head sculpt is nicely detailed even though it is mainly paint and plastic. The articulation is very good and you will be able to get Sentinal Prime into some great positions. The main feature on Sentinel Prime is the button on his chest that makes him speak and also his eyes light-up. When you add one of the mechtech weapons this also allows you to hear different sound fx and different voice clips, infact you get a total of 3 different voice clips with this figure.
All in all this a great addition to the Transformers 3 toys line and one that really stands out from the first wave of toys. This is going to become the one figure that everyone is going to want to get hold of.

Transfomers 3 Mechtech Optimus Prime
The Transfomers 3 Mechtech optimus prime figure is part of the new range of Hasbro Transformers 3 toys that have just landed and the staff here at Toys and Gadgets are very excited!
Based on the mega 2011 Summer blockbuster Transformers 3 Dark of the Moon which see’s Optimus Prime and the autobots racing against Megatron, Soundwave and the Decepticoms.
This Transfomers 3 Optimus Prime figure is part of the new mechtech range of figures which are basically like the previous voyager range but with the added addition of the Mechtechweapons system. This mechtech weapon can be deployed and used with other mechtech transformers figures.
This Dark of the Moon Optimus Prime figure transforms from robot mode to vehicle mode and you can switch his ion blaster to a battle canon. This is a great addition to the previous voyager figures and even through there are some similarities Hasbro have gone in a great direction with this range.
Transformers 3 Mechtech Optimus Prime Review
So let’s take a more detailed look at the new Transformers 3 dark of the moon Mechtech Optimus Prime. When I first saw the initial early leaked images of this figure, to say I was slightly underwhelmed was an understatement, but now having played with this cool figure for the last few days I have to say that Hasbro have done a great job for this size of figure, now let’s get this straight this is no leader class Optimus prime and the upcoming ultimate Optimus Prime is going to be out of this world, but what I love about the new Mechtech optimus prime is the playability of this figure, this is a really fun figure to play with kids as well as collectors are going to love it.
The detail on this figure is really cool, the head sculpt is one of the best I have seen on this size of figure and the detail on the chest plate and colouring looks really good. The arms are nice and chunky and the whole figure feels really well put together. Another great touch of this figure is the legs, which really look big which I like because if you notice in the movie Optimus prime’s legs are nice and big and it gives the figure stature over the other autobots.
Now the new edition to this figure obviously the Mechtech weapon, initially I was slightly worried about this, but once it’s fixed on Mechtech optimus prime it looks really cool, it really does give scope to the size of these characters. The articulation on this figure is really good, the head swivels all the way around, the arms rotate at the bicep and also at various other points including at the wrist which has a ball joint and for the first time Optimus prime can swivel at the waist at full 180°.
The actual transformation of this figure works really well and unlike some of the Transformers this is not complicated at all. All in all Transformers fans will be happy enough with this figure, there are better Optimus prime’s out there but not at this size and price point.

As the excitement starts to build to the new Transformers 3 movie, our attention turns to the accompanying Transformers 3 toys range and just as Hasbro have done for the last 2 Transformers movies they have released a Transformers 3 Preview figure Optimus Prime.
This Transformers 3 Preview Optimus Prime figure changes from battle-ready robot mode to truck mode so he can chase down his enemies or fight his fiercest foes.
But that’s not all, Transformers 3 Dark Side of the Moon will be the first Transformers movie to be shot in real 3D and included with you Transformers 3 Optimus Prime Preview Figure will be 3D glasses. You will be able to use these 3D glasses to view exclusive content on Transformers.com.

Transformers could rule the toy shelves again this year thanks to the release of Transformers 3 Dark Side of the Moon movie which is released this summer.
We got to see quite alot of the new Transformers 3 toys range at the UK Toy Fair last month and now Hasbro have offically released images of the new range of Transformers 3 toys.
